| Description: For 1987-2001 Jeep XJ's, 1997-2006 Jeep TJ's and LJ's, and Jeep MJ's. This new kit from Currie allows our 2" Johnny Joints® with thru bolts to be installed on stock or most aftermarket front end housings in place of the standard upper control arm bushings. The kit includes a Johnny Joint® insert for gear case ear and installation tool, as well as 1" thick flame-cut steel upright for the tube side, with Johnny Joint® already installed. This kit has you cut off the top of the stock bracket that is on the tube and install the new Currie piece into the existing bracket base. You then weld the Currie piece to the existing bracket base. This allows for no welding to be done on the tube, resulting in no warpage of the tube.This kit requires cutting and welding equipment for installation! |

The Super-Flex 2 cartridge was originally designed to replace the heim joints used in some of original suspension designs. The small size is a direct replacement for factory upper rubber bushings used on XJ/MJ/ZJ/TJ/WJ. This cartridge uses UHMW and a unique thread in side nut, which allows easy tightening, and rebuilding (the replacement part kit is RE3798) although you may never have to. Rubicon Express ran their Jeep-Speed race Cherokee all last season on the same set of control arms, without a single failure. After removal at the end of the season, they felt as tight as the day they were installed. In contrast, factory rubber bushings need to be replaced EVERY RACE! Uses a 10-mm bolt.
