Flaming River has designed a direct bolt-in steering system that utilizes a manual rack and pinion engineered for your Classic Camaro! The rack and pinion has a travel and ratio with full turning radius that feels almost like power steering! The best part of this system is that it installs easily (within hours) using the existing chassis hole locations. Complete kit with everything needed except the steering wheel.  Patented cradle technology and he most complete kit on the market.

Our customers asked for it and we delivered – Introducing the 2005-2010 Mustang Manual Rack & Pinion! 

The newest addition to Manual Rack & Pinion steering is lighter than the factory Mustang power system–reducing vehicle weight by 10-15 lbs. (depending on vehicle specifications) by eliminating hoses, pulleys and pumps.

Also, the billet aluminum mounting brackets can be adjusted to modify the pinion angle for large tube headers and engine swaps in custom applications.

The Hajek Motorsports Team is currently using this Manual Rack & Pinion in their 2010 E-85 Mustang—the fastest production-based Mustang in the world!

This new bolt-in rack and pinion cradle is available for both power and manual steering systems. This unique new style of steering system utilizes the original inner and outer tie rod ends. This makes for simple installation and maintains the original pivot position. No cutting, welding or drilling to the chassis–it bolts into the existing steering box holes. Easily coverts this steering box application to rack and pinion steering without any modification.

Direct Bolt-in Manual or Power Rack and Pinion Cradle Kits

Front Steer Rack and Pinion improved clearance allows the use of virtually any oil pan. The front steer design is achieved by reversing the OE spindle arms. This moves the rack forward and out of the way of the oil pan as well as accomodating both Big Block and Small Block Engines.

The Quick Ratio Manual and Power Rack and Pinion Cradle Systems replace the early long shaft steering box in the 62-67 Nova. The true fixture welded mounting cradle fits between the frame rails and bolts in place using the original chassis location. The system installs easily using simple hand tools, and provides Full Turning Radius with a much more responsive steering system than the original.

This tilt column is designed for use with floor shifter. They feature a 2" tube diameter and compact shroud create a unique new custom look. Each column comes complete with a billet dress up kit (Tilt/turn signal levers and hazard knob), GM wiring (4-1/4in. connector) and an all new canceling cam. Shaft size is 1 in. DD.

This isn't a rebuilt junkyard column, but rather an all new Flaming River engineered column featuring all new components. Made in the USA.

All Flaming River columns are made from 304 grade stainless steel, in paintable mill finish OR polished to a high luster. They will never rust and are chemically clean and can be painted to match or highlight an interior with only minor preparation.

Our Classic Tilt Columns are designed for non-airbag applications only. If you want an accessory, such as dimmer switch, this should be ordered with the column and we will install it for you. Designed to use the existing OEM 2" diameter mounting hole.

Our standard shaft on classic columns is 1" DD. We can also make a 3/4"-36 or 1"-48 column to match your existing steering joint setup. Please specify in the comments area when ordering.
